Last week we passed off lashings. The boys learned the timber hitch, clove hitch, and how to complete the square and diagonal lashings. They also learned how to tie a bowline, although their leader only knows how to tie it with one hand. This week we used lashings to make a camp gadget. We made a stand to hand towels on.
We had a new boy join our Troop today. We helped him pass of the basics to earn his Scout badge.
